I know how overwhelming information can feel when it comes to making decisions about your health and preventing viruses.
There’s a lot we don't know right now about how to avoid getting sick, but that doesn’t mean we can’t take steps to strengthen our immune systems and optimize our health.
Here’s what we do know: Those with a compromised immune system or underlying disease have a lower survival rate for any illness. We know that individuals suffering from heart disease, diabetes, cancer, hypertension or obesity often have a more difficult time recovering from the virus going around.
Those diseases all have one thing in common: inflammation. Inflammation is actually your body’s normal response to stress and illness but when your immune system is overloaded with fighting inflammation, it can weaken its response to more serious threats.
Unfortunately, you don’t need to be diagnosed with a severe disease to have inflammation in your body. Even low grade inflammation can impact your immune system’s ability to fight illness.
So how do you know if you have inflammation in your body? Fatigue, joint pain, digestive issues, skin issues such as acne or eczema, brain fog or headaches are a few common symptoms.
While it’s important to get a doctor to evaluate any symptoms you may be having, we must take into consideration the role diet and stress play in creating inflammation in our bodies. Diets with refined sugars, starches and processed foods are more likely to cause inflammation in the body and compromise your immune system.
This is why I am passionate about encouraging an anti-inflammatory diet and using Ayurvedic herbs and spices that can restore balance in the body. Our mission here at Fusionary Formulas is to foster healing from the inside out with the best herbs and supplements that fight against inflammation.
